Gold Fever Buckets are specially designed to classify significantly more material in a shorter time while using less physical effort and less water than traditional bucket top classifiers.
With restrictions being placed on prospectors across the nation prohibiting motorized prospecting equipment, it was necessary to develop a method of classifying larger quantities of material in an environmental friendly way. Gold Fever Buckets fit that bill. It has become a big favorite with recreational prospectors and serious prospectors alike.
Unlike many other bucket classifiers, Gold Fever Buckets maintains a high level of structural integrity and are more user friendly, having no sharp wires or sharp exposed rivet heads which can injure the operator and are typical found in other bucket classifying systems.
These classifiers work amazing with both wet and dry material. Having a stronger, faster, more reliable method of classifying material is a must for your “Gold Getting”adventures.
Gold Fever Buckets differ from other traditional buckets classifying systems in that they are sized and tapered in a design that does not stick inside your traditional five gallon bucket. This allows the Gold Fever Buckets washing action to clean and separate your material with ease.
As these buckets stack one inside of another, they are easier to carry to your destination than a stack of “bucket top” style classifiers. You can also place a plastic disk in the bottom of the classifier which allows you to carry other tools to the site.
To use a Gold Fever Buckets you partially fill a typical five gallon plastic bucket as a catch bucket and place a Gold Fever Bucket inside. Shovel directly into the Gold Fever Bucket and then with an up and down motion you wash your gravels and the classified materials moves to the catch bucket.
As your material collects in the catch bucket the water level rises reducing the need for additional water after each bucket is classified. Repeat this process with the smaller mesh GFB’s until reaching your desired material size. Then pan or sluice your material to retrieve the gold. You can wash and classify a large shovel full of gravel in about 15 seconds using this method.
Gold Fever Buckets work with any standard 5 gallon bucket that has an 11 ¾” opening. We do not sell these buckets because that size is so readily available to you. The “Homer” bucket from Home Depot is an example of this size bucket.
