I am sending this email to thank Garrett Industries for having such wonderful Outlets like Ackert Supplies of Norwich, Ontario, Canada, and for Garrett for having well made, and engineered Metal Detectors. The main reason I am sending this email is to thank the phone line staff at Garrett, and Paul Ackert of Ackert Supplies for helping me out with a problem I encountered after purchasing the Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II. After receiving delivery of my new Garrett Sea Hunter from Ackert Supplies, I was excited to start using it and getting to a water spot I knew that was sure to have some great finds, also I was planning a trip to New Zealand this winter, and was going to take my newest detector along for some hunting "Down Under" so to speak. After carefully reading the instructions, watching the video supplied and some others found on the internet, I felt confident that I knew how to get started with the detector, I should at this time tell you that I have used a metal detector quite frequently in the past, a Search King SK, which back then was a great detector, and still surprises me with some unusual finds. Since then I have added the Garrett Ace 350, and the Garrett ProPointer to help with my searches, having recently retired, I have more time to pursue the hunting, and have done a few jewellery finds for people that have lost their personal possessions, gotten my wife interested, and have started a small business using the detectors. When I tried to set up the new Sea Hunter, I ran into a problem immediately, it seems I could not get the new detector to stop giving loud pulse tones, and they were constant no matter where I put the control knobs. I re-read the instructions, found other information on the net, and tried again to no solution, I then called Garrett Industries, and I spoke to a gentleman( I should, but I can't remember his name) and he walked me through some suggestions, and I let him listen over the phone what the detector was doing. He then told me to contact the dealer I purchased it from for some remedies, and his thought was that the coil was malfunctioning, but to speak to Ackert Supplies for direction. I contacted Ackert Supplies, and was immediately speaking to Paul the owner, and he concurred to what was just speculated to what the problem was, and put me at ease by saying "No problem, we'll get another one to you ASAP", I mentioned that it might be just the coil, and he told me rather than take a chance he would change out the whole unit. Imagine, a company that not only stands behind what they sell, but makes sure the customer is getting the service and usage of their purchase without jumping through hoops. I know that even new products have problems, and through no fault of the manufacture, but possibly the delivery of the detector, or some other unknown reason it may malfunction, but to have it done so quickly, and efficiently I feel confident in purchasing another Garrett Detector, and I will purchase it from Ackert Supplies, having first hand getting everything straightened out, and done with an ease that most dealers should strive for in their businesses. So on behalf of myself, I would like to thank Garrett for their wonderful line of detectors and for having such great dealers like Paul Ackert and his store Ackert Supplies in Norwich Ontario and a great ending for a very happy customer. (3) Hello again, received my euro ace yesterday. Have to say I am very pleased with the service I have received from you guys. We have two other younger detectorists in the family and will be upgrading for them soon. Your site will be first on our shopping list. Have to decide what machine the 7 year old gets though, his birthday is coming soon, hoping for a sale on some junior machines. So once again thanks for the excellent service, will be back soon.

Dear Paul,
I wanted to thank you for your outstanding service! You were quick to reply to my email, quick to answer all my questions and got my Fisher delivered to me in the week while visiting back home in Canada. Too often these days the only thing that counts for allot of sellers is the sale and not the customer service. You get 5 stars from me in customer service!

Hi Paul: So often delivery date promises made are one or two weeks late, not Ackert Supplies. I rec'd my Pro-Pointer AT this week exactly on time. Keeping me advised of Garrett's shipping schedule then Ackert's was great. Highest recdommendation.
